ITIL or PMP

Well ITIL do not have a real project methodology inherent, at least to my level of understanding at the present time. It’s obvious to think about how to solve this fact by combining ITIL together with a project methodology.

Do I’m the first one think about this ?

Within the web I found several articles about this topic. Paul Rice (Link) gave a nice synergy comparison about both. Furthermore Edward Chung (Link) or Stephen Alexander (Link) gave some detail comparison too.

Independent from the studies in the chapter before, I’m confident that each project manager must know the challenges and the focus of the supporting organisation. This is not driven by the usual “we are a team” thought, then by the need to satisfy stakeholders and there requirements.
